Ace Athletic Club to host a great race on Dec 29
Ace Athletics Club is delighted to announce the launch of their inaugural 5KM road race, set to take place on Sunday December 29th 2019 @11am.
The race will start and finish at the O’Raghallaigh’s GFC on the North Road, Drogheda.

Summer’s end, or Samhain, is looming one and all!
Indeed, it will soon be time to plan our most fearsome outfits, see the most vibrant ensembles adorned, faces splashed with makeup, splattered faux blood all about the place and witness Halloween parties galore.
However, this year, there’s a reason to be more excited than ever. It’s the year of Púca!
Named after the legendary Irish spirit that could bring good fortune, or indeed bad, it’s a celebratory weekend taking place across three festival hubs — Athboy, Drogheda and Trim Castle. Púca culminates the true meaning of the Celtic tradition — Samhain — and as they say, it’s ‘where Halloween’s story begins.’
In association with our exhibition programme, we host FREE workshops in our gallery and print studios, where professional artists work with students on the creation and making of artworks. For Leaving Certificate Art, Craft and Design students in 5th and 6th year, we provide tours specifically based around Section III Appreciation of Art: The Gallery Question (q:16).

On West Street visitors can expect to meet Mr. & Mrs Claus, enjoy a fabulous Christmas Market with over 50 Exhibitors and a stunning Illumination / Light Show on St. Peter’s Church which will captivate the imagination of people of all ages!

As part of Drogheda Positive Ageing Week, Lifestyle Development Group, based in the Holy Family Boxing Club, Ballsgrove, Drogheda would like to invite anyone interested in keeping busy in the coming winter months to join daily classes.
Stamullen Bowls has resumed activities. Why not come along any Tuesday or Thursday from 8 – 10 pm to St. Patrick’s GAA Centre and see if bowls is for you.
